There Goes the Neighbourhood Vid Wow! What an exciting day! We waited until evening to make the vid really creepy, and Alex (Kate) was shot on nightvision to give it an even spookier effect. Our producer Pete played the man in the car - who is he? What does he want? I guess we'll find out

'The Prisoner' video... This shoot went well,apart from Alex (Kate) becoming so wound up as her character that she tore a muscle in Giles (Steves) shoulder!After a bit of ice and laughter-inducing banter, all was well.This scene is spooky!

Saturday Live Event 18 / 08 / 07 Today the live event went ahead as planned. The weather was grey and cloudy - just right for the ominous mood this event wanted to project. The cast and crew were called for 8am at the Bebo Head Office just off Carnaby Street. All went well!

Welcome to KateModern

Hi people,

I just thought I'd take two minutes to welcome newcomers to the wonderful world of KateModern which is hosted by number one social networking site Bebo.com.

Hey, it's Tara...

Hey guys,

I was asked my thoughts so far on playing the role of Charlie in KateModern, and this is what I came up with.

Charlie, Chazza my dear Chaz on Toast has been a great character to play in KateModern over the past three months.

I have laughed with her, caught the flu, cried, karate kicked baddies and been on an emotional journey with this character and have been enjoying the ride more and more as time is progressing in the series.

One of the highlights would have to be the scenes that were shot in the forest - when Charlie, Steve and Tariq kidnapped the watchers van. The chemistry existing between Steve and Tariq (Giles and Jai) when out of their character mode was hilarious to be around – I was in stitches with laughter all day despite feeling like I was getting bitten my a thousand mosquitoes….. And yes then there was the high ‘ninja’ kick which nearly caused a split in my jeans and a pulled hamstring but was well worth the trouble and effort.

KateModern is smoking up the computer screens… the characters are getting more interesting and the chemistry existing between each of these characters is maturing and becoming more intense! I’m loving the ride and can’t wait to see what happens next.

We were thinking that we'd been a bit queit recently so here is the latest thinkings of the KateModern production team..... Series Producer Pete set everyone ten questions to answer, and here are the results......

2. What’s been your overall impression of working on KM?

It’s the strangest job I’ve ever had, but it’s also a lot of fun.

3. What’s been the biggest surprise since you started?

How popular the show is and how much the fans get into it…which is great!

4. What’s been your favorite video so far and why?

Our first death…when Dudley got pushed out of the window in ‘Act Positive’. I also like Ricky Martin’s animation videos.

5. Who’s your favorite character?

Steve

6. Why?

It’s interesting to see the internal struggles of a man confused by a powerful religion. Is he good/bad? Nobody knows…

7. Have you starred in the show yet?

I’ll be making my debut next week, as Drew the hairdresser.

8. What’s been the biggest challenge so far?

This question.

9. What would you like to see happen in KM in the future?

A big explosion…and for the Hymn of One to take over the world.

10. Why should people start watching KateModern?

If they’ve ever watched TV and wished they could talk to and interact with the characters…now they can! It’s probably the only show around where the characters are actually ‘alive’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

My name is Claire Finbow. I’m a Production Assistant on KateModern and have been working here for about 4 months.

2. What’s been your overall impression of working on KM?

Hard work but always enjoyable because of working with such a great team of people.

3. What’s been the biggest surprise since you started?

4. What’s been your favorite video so far and why?

I love the art videos and the animated videos, but my favorite scripted video is probably I Know Hallam Foe. I also like the Devon videos with The Days.

5. Who’s your favorite character?

Gavin

6. Why?

He’s funny but I think there’s something else about him which we haven’t seen yet – something mysterious!

7. Have you starred in the show yet?

Yes! I was in the video called Keep Your Socks On. I’ve also been a headless co-worker :o)

8. What’s been the biggest challenge so far?

Putting on the second live event at the same time as organizing the normal schedules was pretty hectic.

9. What would you like to see happen in KM in the future?

I’d like to see Charlie do other things other than chase Kate/The Order. I’d like to see Tariq chill out a bit too.

10. Why should people start watching KateModern?

Because you can get involved on many different levels which you can’t do with TV or film and you can watch it in your own time.

Well September looks set to be one heck of an exciting month! The story surrounding Kate and the mystery behind her trait positive blood, and what it means, is charged with high drama, high emotions, and many a surprise! Meet the Cast & Crew......This is Pete (The Series Producer)

Hello MSN people my name is Pete Gibbons and I'm the Series Producer on KateModern.

My role on the show is simple, make stuff happen. I met Miles and the guys from LG15 over a very civilized dinner at Soho House in London, those who know me won't be shocked as that's where I eat most of the time due to me being too lazy to cook!

My friend and business partner Ralf (Little) who plays Gavin in the show had met Greg and Miles in LA and told me about LG15, I watched a few videos and thought, it's cool, but who watches TV on the internet, geeks right? Two months later I find out two things, not only was I totally WRONG about that but working on an internet based entertainment show is REALLY COOL.

Since we teamed up with the LG15 guys, Bebo and found our amazing team we've set about making this great show, on a day to day basis I have to make sure that the production is on track, source the props, locations, lunches etc and generally be the big Daddy for all the members of the cast & crew.

I LOVE my job, I've never been a morning person and in the last 10 weeks I've found myself getting up early (6am today) to surf the internet, if I didn't know it was so cool I'd think I was turning into one of those geeks!

Anyway, another big part of my job is making sure that the videos we make don't break any of the rules and adhere to our strict production guidelines cos if we break any broadcasting laws it's me that gets in trouble. So as you can imagine it can be fairly stressful but the job is 200% rewarding and DEFINATELY the best thing I've ever worked on with the best team working with me.
